The KX-4610 is a no compromise, high performance dual 18” subwoofer that has been THX* approved. It has been designed to exhibit maximum bass extension to 25Hz and will effortlessly deliver the very low frequency energy that digital sound tracks demand.

Large peak to peak linear cone excursion and large vent areas are vital for efficient low frequency radiation at high power, and are a feature of Krix subwoofers. Together with the correct enclosure volume and tuning optimisation gives large linear power response at all frequencies. That is, little compression occurs at high levels at very low frequencies. Vertical back bracing is locked and rebated into the top and bottom panels with front to back brace for added cabinet rigidity.

The KX-4610 is a state of the art loudspeaker system and was developed by ‘reverse engineering’ the THX* cinema loudspeaker specification. The low frequency driver parameters and the enclosure were determined from the desired requirements of a stage loudspeaker as outlined by THX*. This ensured the closest embodiment of the specifications that technology allows , using components specially made for cinema applications.

A relatively large internal sub baffle is fitted to the rear of the vents to further reduce turbulence.
